familiar with the dock permit process, village approval, space between, public usage, and annual fee.

permit aside, like to know if anyone has built a dock, or had one quoted?

looking at 4 feet X 100-120 feet. undecided whether to build from lumber or concrete - this will likely depend on cost. not interested in a floating dock.

no lift. no electricity. no palapas or anything else, just a simple straight dock.

anyone have any experience?
specifically looking for some idea of cost?

dock would be located in corozal if that helps.

thank you!

sorry for delayed response.

120' x 6' wood dock was quoted at $12k USD.
basically cement-filled PVC posts with hardwood deck and framing.

word is MNR is no longer permitting concrete docks (at least not "private" docks) as water must flow thru.

Thanks for the update, Sun. Wouldn't water still flow through the PVC posts filled with concrete? Just the same as wooden posts. I think you are thinking of framed and poured solid concrete docks.

that is correct. poured solid concrete docks are no longer permitted (reportedly). PVC filled concrete posts should not be an issue. this is what we'll be using for the dock quoted above.
