My wife and I just completed our 4th trip to Caye Caulker. We stay about 8 to 10 days. It's been great getting to know some local folks.

We know there is a lot more to see and do, but the Go Slow atmosphere of Caye Caulker appeals to us.

Just wanted to say hello to everyone and in the future, we will be doing more mainland trips and adventures.

Hi TerryH welcome from another relatively new member.

You have chosen well as there is a mine of information here, which is well worth reading whether you are using Belize for vacations or planning a more permanent residence.

I have read loads on here and benefited greatly. I have also enjoyed the lighter side and read for leisure. So it has something for everyone.

Also it helps that members are friendly and welcoming as well as many having much knowledge and experience.

The honest views that show the good the bad and at times the ugly give a well rounded understanding of Belize from people who for the most part love it, but are not blinded or wearing rose tinted glasses. So in the main you get an objective view.

I have learnt a lot and had fun along the way.

An example of the fun was a recommendation from D InTheShade who recommended " a video shot by a young lady (go pro) that cycled the entire length of Belize." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTthZgOgzf0

I watched the first episode and was hooked [there were 12 in all]

If that's not for you you will find plenty that will be.

Anyway welcome and enjoy the forum.

Hi TerryH, welcome to the forums. I hope you find some useful information here. You've already done great; Caye Caulker is one of the most charming places in Belize. It truly is special. Yes, there are many more wonderful places to see and things to do, but Caye Caulker is a fine place to base yourself. I'm glad you are here. Take good care.
