I need to find a shipping company that I can deliver all our household goods to (pretty much boxed but some loose items like bikes), put them in a container, and ship it to the States. Anybody got a suggestion?

Sterling Freight will do an excellent job for you.

That was on my list, but why are they in San Ignacio and not at one of the ports?

With the high cost of shipping and the low cost of goods back in the states, wouldn't it be easier to sell your goods in Belize and repurchase in the states? Just curious.

Think Houston and trucks, no port needed.

Mostly what were shipping is my wife's "Halls" glass ware, art collection, my high end tools, and my high end bicycles. Cost to replace ranges from $40K (tools) to non-replaceable (art). Not really a market here for these items. Need to fill out the shipping container, so mght as well ship the rest of our household along with the stuff that really matters.

With most shipping companies you can purchase space in a container so any unused space isn't charged to you. Makes for a cheaper run.

So, when are you headed back to flag? It is cold down in Phoenix right now. Well at least for us it is. Been here for a month and my allergies are off the chart!!! Never realized how much I was allergic to this place.

Good luck on your move back.

Check with Elbert Flowers in Santa Elena (near San Ignacio). He owns "Cayo Adventure Tours" and also runs trucks to/from Belize and the US. Look in the phone book for his number. He moved my stuff here without breaking a glass!
